We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Contracts Manager, to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced project team that supports the delivery of world-leading defence products and services to the Australian Defence Force.
This key role is an important member of the project and business unit commercial leadership teams and is a key integration point with other functional areas of the business, as well as being one of the primary contact points with Boeing’s customers. Responsibilities
– Lead, manage and coordinate the drafting, negotiation and administration of complex defence contracts including contractual changes, reviews and approvals
– Provide specialist contractual and commercial support and advice to the project and business unit leadership team
– Monitor contractor compliance, identifying and monitor commercial and enterprise risks and determine appropriate course of action for their management and mitigation
– Formulate innovative contractual and commercial acquisition and sustainment implementation strategies for major scope changes
– Proactively communicate across multi discipline technical/sales/finance team
– Provide guidance, oversight, and mentoring to a small team of contracts professionals
Skills/Qualifications
– Experience working with multiple stakeholders, excellent written and verbal communication skills and well-developed time management skills
– Proven experience in a similar role with demonstrated skills in successfully leading, managing, negotiating and administrating contracts
– Experience in proposal development, negotiation of contract terms and conditions, and contract management and administration
– Formal qualifications in a related discipline (Law, Accounting or Business Management). Formal qualification in law is highly desirable.
– Previous demonstrated experience with Australian Standard Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) suite of templates is highly desirable.
